BIG NEWS!!
CONGRATULATIONS TO SPENCER AND MOLLY FOR THE SUCCESSFUL BIRTH OF ... (drum roll please) ... TWINS - 1 BOY AND 1 GIRL! Apparently Molly did so well with the birth that 1/2 hour later she and the other kids went on a bike ride down to Baskin Robbins to buy a gallon of "Cougar Trails". Spencer, for the first time of many, was left to try and figure out which kid was which without actually removing the diapers. Unofficial reports put Jake Elliott at 5 1/2 lbs, while Molly jr. was a svelt 5 lbs 11 oz. Both are healthy and happy, and Molly really is doing great. Spencer's on an IV drip though and slowly recovering - good job dude, you were the MAN today! Sure wish we could be there!!! And for the record, I was only one day off in my countdown.
And now on to more important matters .... Did anyone else cry when Derek Fisher walked onto the court last night? Yeah, uh, me neither... Dave, admit it, you were bawling and Meredith was looking at you wondering who she had married. Big, big win last night, and boy you should hear the Bay Area sports talk radio buzzing today. They are having a hard time finding someone to blame, so it vacillates between the guys who missed the crucial free throws and the refs during the 3rd quarter. Whatever.
As for us, our lives seem incredibly busy right now. Every night is a scramble to get the kids' homework and projects done as their bedtime whizzes by. They don't even get home from school, play practice, swim team, and piano until close to 7 sometimes, so it's a tornado to get some dinner, get Ang off to YW, get homework done, get Brig to bed, maybe (rarely lately) find time to read with Micah, and get the house settled for the night. We can't wait for summer.
We're having the missionaries over for dinner tonight, which should be good. They're relatively young - one from Utah, the other from Tahiti and still learning English. They're good missionaries though and it should be fun to have them in our home.
Watch for another installment of Star of the Week tomorrow - should be a good one.
